RBUMC Youth Ministries

RBUMC Youth Ministries seeks lead students grade 6 – 12  to a growing personal relationship with

Jesus Christ, and to give them the opportunity to  experience the love of  God through the

teachings of Jesus Christ and the leading of the Holy Spirit.  Through this relationship and

experience of Jesus they will gain a better understanding of themselves, others, and the Spiritual and Physical world around us.

The following steps are how we seek to develop our students in this personal relationship with Jesus:

Knowledge & Spiritual Growth:

Sunday School: Focusing on knowledge growth. We study a different book of the bible each Sunday morning.
9:30am – Meet in Loft
10:15am – End

Youth: Focusing on spiritual growth and what it looks like to be a follower of Jesus at this age and time on Sunday nights.
5:30pm – Meet in Fellowship Hall for provided dinner for youth.
6:00pm – Move to loft for lesson and games.
7:00pm to 7:30pm – End

Retreats:

Resurrection: Holston Conference Youth Conference held in Pigeon Forge, TN each January

Spring Retreat: For students grade 6- 12 held March or April every year.

Mission Trip: Mission/Service Retreat held each year.

Spiritual Life Retreat:  Held every Summer for students grade 6-12.

Service:

Students are given the opportunity to reach outside themselves and meet the needs of others beginning in their community and moving to the rest of the world.  We offer some type of project each month and our annual Mission Trip in the summer.

Fellowships and Activities:

There will be some type of special activity, retreat or fellowship each month.  We encourage  our students to bring their friends and come enjoy these times together.
